Based in the greater DC area (Rockville), we are a growing, dedicated boutique Public Accounting firm (~110 employees). We have a VERY exciting opportunity to bring someone on at a Director or Principal level. This is a highly visible as we continue to grow and you will work closely with the current partners. We are looking for hungry, excited individuals to help build out our Government Contracting division. This person will oversee all aspects of this new division and have strong relationships with clients. We are seeing more and more Gov Con opportunities come into the firm and need someone who can hit the ground running. We value high integrity and personal accountability with family values. The ideal candidate is an experienced professional who demonstrates complete competence in auditing, reviews, and compilation services and shows proven management and practice promotion skills. The Director or Principal of Government Contracting Audit Services will be responsible for sourcing clients, client engagement, managing the team, and the successful execution of engagements. They will be a strong C-level communicator and possess a solid track record managing and developing teams.

What You Need for this Position - Complete and thorough understanding of accounting, auditing, and tax standards that impact government contractors.
- Possesses a complete knowledge of the Firm's philosophy and its opinions on financial matters.
- Maintains knowledge of general economic and political trends of possible legislation or regulatory changes which might affect the business climate.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to conduct research, gather relevant internal and external information and synthesize into a cohesive, concise presentation and / or analysis.
- Proficiency in use of computers, and computer accounting software, or other software appropriate to service area.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills to present information clearly and concisely to executive leadership, staff, and clients.

- Bachelor's degree in accounting; Master's degree preferred
- Ten (10) years of related experience with at least five (5) years in a public accounting firm
- Active/valid certified public accountant's license is required

- A good culture fit within an environment of personal accountability and high integrity
- Demonstrate exceptional leadership in managing and motivating teams
- Ability to manage the full life cycle of the audit process
- Proven ability to lead, manage, and grow an audit practice
- Responsibility for quality and financial performance of all client engagements
- Anticipates problem areas and questions that will arise during the course of a project
