Job Description:

DAY TO DAY:


•Design, implement, test, and support features and solutions for product roadmap and strategic plan

•Contribute to platform and product design and architecture and drive implementation

•Work in close partnership with product owner and user experience teams and contribute to feature design

•Analyze and provide feedback on technical feasibility, cost, and alternative solutions

•Identify and communicate technical risks, issues, and changes as early as possible

•Create visuals and documentation to communicate designs, approaches, ideas, and initiatives and document decisions

•Contribute to technical sizing of requirements and assist in task and workstream planning

•Participate in research and development initiatives, infusion of new technologies, and proof of concept and reference implementations

•Consult, guide, and mentor Software Engineers, contribute to design, code, infrastructure, and test coverage reviews

•Contribute to development testing automation practices and frameworks, including unit, functional, integration, load, and performance

•Support and contribute to enabling team autonomy via accountability and ownership of solutions from inception to production, including infrastructure as code, pipelines, observability, and health monitoring

•Partner with QA to maintain visibility and grow confidence in automation test coverage to reduce regression and improve release tempo

•Collaborate with architecture, management, and cross-functional teams to facilitate technical alignment and understanding

•Participate in troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and resolution of critical issues, inefficiencies, and customer escalations

•Handle other software design, development, and maintenance responsibilities as determined necessary



MUST HAVE:


•Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or Business Information Systems (or equivalent professional certification and work experience)

•5+ years of full-stack web platform software engineering experience

•Software engineering and tooling proficiency: C#, .NET Core, .NET Framework, Visual Studio, Git, Angular, SQL, document management databases

•SOA practitioner, experience designing and implementing event-driven, resilient, scalable and performing solutions

•Working knowledge of security protocols, modern identity management and access control

•Experience with infrastructure as code (Terraform preferred), build and deployment pipelines (Azure DevOps preferred)

•Automated testing development and tooling experience

•Experience designing and deploying solutions in the public cloud - prefer AWS, focus on serverless

•Demonstrated ability to lead workstreams and technical initiatives

•Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills

•Solid communication and presentation skills

•Collaborative team player, comfortable working in agile environment and balancing both forward-looking and practical concerns

•Ability to handle criticism and competing opinions constructively
