The Rosato lab studies how immune memory forms and functions against viruses. We are interested in harnessing these functions for vaccine design and cancer therapy. Responsibilities will include ordering lab supplies, mouse husbandry and tissue collection, designing and executing experiments, and maintaining a detailed lab notebook. The successful candidate will train and work directly with the PI. The Rosato lab is committed to a safe and supportive environment for all lab members. Bachelors or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills & Knowledge
* Basic laboratory skills: molarity/dilution calculations, accurate solution formulation, ability to understand and follow basic laboratory protocols under direct supervision, willingness to work with mice and infectious agents.
* Ability to work independently with good judgment and good organizational and time management skills.
* Maintenance of accurate lab notebooks.
* Knowledge of computers and software applications.
Experience
* Some relevant laboratory or science experience.
Education
* BA/BS or MS in a biological science or related field.
