YOUR ROLE
This position is under the supervision of
the Director of Production & Packaging Operations and is
responsible for the supervision of multiple production lines filling and
packaging. This includes but is not
limited to meeting specific marketing, production, and shipping cost
requirement. Ensuring the completion of
quality checks procedures to the highest quality product possible.
Essential Functions:
- Supervise all production lines assigning Supervisors and Line Coordinators and support staff to appropriate lines.
- Work with temporary employment agencies to fill vacancies and report attendance.
- Review Kronos daily to verify attendance for accuracy.
- Monitor quality control procedures to ensure all standards are met, ensuring overall quality of product produced, immediately address issues as presented while working to remedy and prevent reoccurrence.
- Promote line efficiency and output through good teamwork skills and effective supervision including communication and resource allocation.
- Continually meet or exceed standards of operating procedures of assigned lines while establishing small group activities to further improve operations.
- Inventory accuracy of materials incoming and outgoing, including analysis and corrective actions to support continual improvement.
- Complete daily production reports, analyze quality/ production problems.
- Answer all positive and negative variances per shop order.
- Review all issues with Shift Supervisors and related staff, communicate vertically and horizontally to increase awareness of any production issues w/necessary follow-up.
- Maintain discipline and enforce company rules.
- Provide input for employee appraisals; counsel employee and provide job training.
- Conduct group meetings updating line performance and attainment.
- Enforce Company Safety procedures maintain a clean and safe work environment.
- Effectively work with production scheduler and local management to ensure flawless execution of manufacturing orders to satisfy customer expectations while maximizing internal resource efficiencies.
- Handle special projects as required.
- Perform other duties as required.
- 2nd shift: Monday through Friday night: 2pm-10:30pm. Role will require some weekend work when required and sometimes with short notice* (start and stop times may vary)
YOUR SKILLS
- BS
Degree in Business, Engineering or related field and 2-3 years manufacturing
experience. - Equivalent in functional
knowledge based on combined formal education and professional experience will
be considered. - Must exhibit the skill to organize and
prioritize work. - Should possess excellent communication skills both orally and
in writing with employees and management.
- Required to be able to multi-task.
- Must provide back-up to the Production/Packaging Manager.
- Microsoft Office experience a must.
- Will work in Kronos, Mapics and other programs required in the Packaging area Microsoft Office experience a must.
