Job Description:

POSITION SUMMARY: The Parts Inventory Specialist represents the company for the purpose of identifying slow moving or obsolete parts inventory and developing/implementing plans to creatively market those to retail. The Parts Inventory Specialist will assist in creating and maintaining our allied ordering and return schedule to optimize allied parts ordering and inventory.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING:


  1. Ability to identify surplus parts inventory.

  2. Responsible for developing ang executing strategies to reduce excess or obsolete inventory.

  3. Manage company's website clearance page WordPress, ensuring currency, correct display, description and accuracy of page.

  4. Optimize online sales using e-commerce channels such as e-Bay, Facebook Marketplace, Craigslist, etc.

  5. Photograph excess parts, establish description and equipment to which it might be utilized.

  6. In coordination with Inventory Analyst, helps facilitate allied ordering and returns.

  7. Regular travel required.

  8. Assist with inventory counts.

  9. Maintain a safe working environment and adhere to company safety program at all times.

  10. Provide support to inventory analyst and parts distribution center as needed.

  11. Perform other duties as assigned.

Education/Experience:

Individual should have an Associate's degree or its equivalent. Should be able to set work priorities and work independently in the absence of supervision and be able to understand and carryout oral and written directions. Must have strong communication skills and the ability to maintain high degree of motivation in team members to retain focus of providing highest level of customer satisfaction.

The individual should have a minimum of 2 4 years of related experience in purchasing, inventory management, statistical analysis, and/or logistics, a steady work record, and must be able to perform each of the essential position functions.

  • Ability to get to and around the corporate office and store locations for various tasks.

  • The employee would normally lift or move up to 10 lbs. and occasionally lifts or moves up to 75 lbs.

  • Ability to tolerate up and down movement with bending or stooping, climbing and reaching above and below shoulder height with arms and hands.

  • Ability to be on ones feet, sit or stand for extended periods of time.

  • Ability to operate equipment or other power equipment as necessary.

  • Must meet health assessment requirements.
