RESPONSIBILITIES
We are seeking passionate Business Management and Acquisition professionals to work as Business Financial Managers (BFM). Responsibilities of a Business Financial Manager include, but are not limited to: - Budgeting, accounting, and reporting, as well as analyzing and interpreting the financial significance of past events and future plans - Certifying availability and accountability of funds and entitlements. - Reviewing and/or approve budgets. - Training in federal acquisition and budgetary transactions to become certified in Business Financial Management under the Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) and the Department of Defense Financial Management (DoD-FM) certification within 24 months
SKILLS
As a Business Financial Manager you will be part of a team that handles a wide range of budgetary tasks involved in providing new and improved intelligence capabilities and products to our customers. This area of business is concerned primarily with the total financial affairs of an organization, department, or program and the translation of actions past, present, and proposed into meaningful and relevant information for use in management. - Developing a budget or financial plan for an organization, organizational unit, program, or expenditure/cost center. - Evaluating procurements to ensure compliance with funding, legal, and program requirements. - Monitoring expenses against budgets to identify potential overruns and excesses. - Recording and analyze financial data and transactions for legality, appropriateness, and accuracy. ***NOTE: This position requires an uploaded college transcript upon application. Without an uploaded transcript to validate the requirement for 24 semester hours in accounting, business finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial marketing, marketing, quantitative methods, and/or organizational management, the application will not move forward.***
PAY BENEFITS & WORK SCHEDULE
This is a full-time position, Monday - Friday, with basic 8hr/day work requirements between 0600 and 1800 (flexible). On-the job training, Internal NSA courses, and external training will be made available based on the need and experience of the selectee. Salary Range: $50,643 - $116,788 (Entry/Developmental - Full Performance)
