We have an opening for a Data Architect Lead in our Walker, MI or Chicago, IL office.
The Data Architect Lead role is responsible for the design, development, implementation, and sustainment of the data integrations to support the BISSELL's Digital Strategy analytics solutions. In this role, you will collaborate with various stakeholders to solve business problems using big data platforms. You will be a critical part of BISSELL's team to build data models and structures required to support the overall data analytics strategy.
Responsible to lead investigations into multiple streams of data to help solve complex business issues.
Perform ad-hoc data mining and analysis to support organizational decisions-making.
Participate in the collaboration efforts with key business stakeholders to devise data structures and data integrations required to support the overall data strategies, as defined by the Company.
Contribute to the technical planning and requirements gathering phases (design, coding, testing, troubleshooting, and documenting) of big data-oriented software applications.
Effectively develops and execute on strategies for data acquisition, access, and interaction with existing data warehouses and data analytics implementations.
Provide data architecture guidance to various teams as required to meet the data analytics needs of BISSELL.
Design, enhance, and implement ETL/data ingestion platforms; create and maintain ETL specifications and process documentation to produce the required data deliverables, such as data profiling, source to target maps, ETL flows.
Create solutions to take data from various operational systems and create a unified data model for analytics and reporting.
Participate with users and ITS team members in specifying system definitions and software requirements on major projects; ensure that all software alternatives are evaluated.
Design and implement measures to ensure data accuracy, accessibility, auditing and security.
Participate as a subject matter expert in the cross-functional master data management (MDM) governance body to ensure the MDM strategy is aligned to operational needs and data vision of the Company.
Evaluate data sources for adherence to the organization's quality and integration requirements. This includes processing, cleansing, and verifying the integrity of the data used for analysis.
Select features, build, and optimize classifiers using machine learning techniques.
Extend data using ingest methods and enhancing data with 3rd party datasets as needed
Bachelors' degree with Specific concentration: Computer Information Systems, Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics and Management, or related field
Experience level: 7-10 years of advanced knowledge within IT field; 5+ years within data architecture/Big Data/ ETL environment
