What will I be doing?

As Senior Manager, Category Management, Operating Supplies and Equipment (OS&E), you will plan, organize, direct, and control the purchasing functions for all products within the specified module across business functions and all 18 brands. You will work closely with brand and operational teams to drive client satisfaction and adhere to industry and brand standards and practices. In addition, you will develop, implement, and direct global programs in support of Supply Management and Hilton initiatives and plan, organize and advise the strategic alignment of the Supply Management global enterprise.

More specifically, you will:


  • Develop, implement, and lead global programs and products in support of our overall strategic vision and corporate sustainability initiatives across Hilton's 18 brands.

  • Implement strategies based on subject matter expertise, technical knowledge, job experience, and leadership skills that demonstrate our value proposition and optimize results.

  • Develop category strategy and manage the entire RFP process from conducting initial due diligence to finalizing contract negotiations in a cross-functional environment with applicable brands and/or corporate departments. This includes validating supplier selection and performance through price benchmarking, auditing, risk assessment, etc.

  • Develop new or streamline existing internal processes to proactively promote continuous process improvements for the Supply Management global enterprise.

  • Effectively handle external relationships with suppliers, distributors, and manufacturers; implement, analyze, and measure key performance indicators to ensure effectiveness, compliance to brand standards and specifications, risk, and liabilities.

  • Collaborate and communicate effectively with brands, operating units, and cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on category strategies and priorities. Provide exceptional customer service to all internal partners.

  • Forecast, achieve, and document cost savings, cost containment, and cost avoidances through negotiations, competitive bids, and innovative product rationalization.

  • Develop expertise and implement strategies on all items within your scope of work.

  • Self-starter with the ability to effectively and creatively problem solve and identify solutions while maintaining a high level of flexibility, professionalism, and integrity

  • Ability to use discretion and maintain confidentiality regarding sensitive information

  • A commitment to learning and development that encourages personal and professional growth

To fulfill this role successfully, you should demonstrate the following minimum qualifications:


  • Five (5) years of sourcing or supply chain experience

  • Managerial experience including project and contract management in a matrixed environment

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

  • Approximately 10% of travel

It would be helpful in this position for you to demonstrate the following capabilities and distinctions:


  • BA/BS Bachelor’s Degree or MBA in Supply Chain Management and/or Hospitality

  • Seven (7) years of supply chain or sourcing experience

  • Hospitality experience

  • Experience with Operating Supplies & Equipment (OS&E)

  • CPSM, C.P.M., or PMP certificate(s)

  • Experience with Coupa sourcing and contract platform
