Under the direction of the Value-Based Services Organization (VBSO) Director of Value Analytics, the VBSO Business Information Analyst is responsible for data production, retrieval, summarization, analysis, reconciliation, distribution and quality assurance in support of VBSO operations and projects.
This role may be tasked with supporting one or more areas including but not limited to Nemours primary care operations, population health, medical management, Delaware Children's Health Network (DCHN) operations, health equity and disparities work, value-based contracts and more. The role will be responsible for supporting multiple projects and activities concurrently under the direction of different VBSO Leaders or other Nemours and/or DCHN leaders.
This role may also be tasked with performing basic project management functions, including project tracking, status updates, routine project reports, agenda and minutes preparation, issue and risk escalation and more.
This role will require regular in-person visits to primary care offices and other clinical settings to support training, analysis efforts, or other functions as required across the Delaware Valley.
Essential Functions:
Serves as Subject Matter Expert (SME) for population health workflows, policies, procedure Reviews technology, EMR, analytics tools prior to implementation to ensure strong adoption.
Coordinates and completes end user testing and identifies impact/needs prior to implementation
Conducts thorough analysis of Business Key Performance Indicators (KPI's)
Analyze data to meet and improve performance against value-based care contracts to improve cost, quality, and utilization management for all payer contracts
Identify opportunities to ensure efficient clinical and business operations for high-quality/low-cost care
Leverage data, reports, dashboards, and other tracking mechanisms to provide visibility to key stakeholders on key performance metrics and initiatives. This includes working with key stakeholders to define/translate key performance measures that drive program analytics and supporting broader program management efforts
Assist in the design and development of new analytical tools in collaboration with the VBSO/DCHN team to better analyze and comprehend health care data for advocacy and continuous performance improvement
Develop and deliver programs and adoption to physician practices and act as a subject matter expert for key metrics and data review
Assists with quality assurance tools and processes. Seek an understanding of project/program interdependencies to work with others on potential impacts.
Authors and maintains specifications, tip sheets, user manuals and other documentation for internal reporting models
Keeping abreast of current industry, market, and policy landscape Understands and articulates the program's business value and associated metrics.
Supports validation of data contained in internal and external analytics platform to payer generated reports and raw claims data and EMR
Measures effectiveness of, and recommends post-implementation strategies for enhancing the usefulness of all assigned system application programs, technologies and systems for care delivery.
May perform extensive medical record review and concurrent chart data abstraction on regulatory/registry required clinical indicators for patient populations, in order to optimize data and outcome measurement.
Provides assistance and recommendations with quality assurance tools and processes. Seek an understanding of project interdependencies in order to effectively work with others on potential impacts.
Leads workgroups, committees and other teams as identified to move work forward for organization
