Job Summary
Accountable for the set up and operation of all print and copy equipment in the Business Service Center (BSC) in order to produce various manuals, guidebooks and miscellaneous print requests for Independence Blue Cross (IBC). The digital equipment is fully networked, capable of both network and local printing. Jobs are requested through our electronic ticketing system, Service Now.
Specific Job Duties:
Responsible for the entire handling of a ticket, which includes determining how to set up/adjust print jobs, printing and getting sign off on proofs, and completing and delivering finished jobs to internal clients, within deadline.
Prints and assemble manuals, bind documents and tabbed reports with various binding techniques, and oversee use of vendor for overflow and specialized print work.
Handles requests that are sent to be printed and mailed by using inserter software and hardware.
Organizes and orders specialty paper, consumables, etc.
Work together, along with management, to ensure all work is prioritized and completed, along with analyzing any areas for opportunities for improvement and expansion of services.
May be required to assist with other mailroom related duties, as assigned.
A high school diploma or equivalent, along with at least 1 year of commercial print operator experience is required
Must be able to lift 50 lbs and be able to move packages, paper, etc., throughout the print shop and building.
Experience using Ricoh C7210S commercial copier with Command Workstation, or similar equipment, Riso ConColor GD7330 copier, or similar equipment and Quadient DS-200i inserter, or similar equipment, along with binding experience.
Must be able to interact professionally with all associates within the building, along with contractors and vendors.
Must be able to perform varied tasks with minimal supervision, once training is completed.
