What you will be doing:

Support end users with the functionality and business needs utilizing our ERP system. Primary responsibility will be supporting end-user transactions in the ERP system. The Business Applications Support Specialist will need to build a strong understanding of the end-to-end business processes, across departments, along with the technology aspects of the ERP system for success in this role.

In addition to working with the system end-users (of all roles at AVI) the Business Applications Support Specialist will also work directly with business process owners, developers and other ERP specialists. This person will be viewed as a Subject Matter Expert, across departments, for the ERP system. This role will include taking part in the design of process changes that come out of end-user questions and requests. Along with identifying a need and working on a solution the Business Application Specialist will support the ERP team with testing and documentation

What you'll bring to assure your success

• This individual must be able to work independently without frequent direction to make sound decisions


• It is important to have the ability to learn and become proficient with unfamiliar technologies or applications.


• Possess basic project management skills such as creating schedules, identifying required tasks, evaluating progress against the project goals and communicating status to manager


• Understanding of accounting processes as it relates to purchase order and invoice processing


• Familiar with ERP concepts and principles, accepted business practices, and problem analysis


• Must have the ability to read and interpret documents such as operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals


• Understanding of the database structure and SQL programming code a plus. Experience with Software Design, Front-end development, Back-end development, Software Documentation, Agile Software Development Process, and Software Maintenance.
