POSITION TITLE: Production Supervisor

JOB DESCRIPTION: The Production Supervisor is responsible to assist the Production Manager with daily supervision of the Complex Production operation, while performing regular duties as a production employee.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Safety First. Understand and follow all safety procedures, utilizing appropriate safety equipment at all times.


• Support and lead activities at the Complex according to good management practices with the objective to protect birds, prevent accidents and injuries, equipment and facility damage the daily/routine activities for the Production team.


• Supervise the daily/routine activities of the Production team to ensure animal husbandry and care responsibilities are performed consistently and effectively by employees.


• Ensure proper water and feed levels at all times. Monitor pit area for leaking feed or water.


• Ensure proper ventilation and temperatures, taking appropriate action when necessary.


• Oversee and coordinate maintenance of barns, equipment and fans.


• Participate in the selection and hiring of all Production employees. Work with Production Manager and Human Resources to ensure the recruiting and hiring process is consistent with Sparboe policy and labor laws.
