The Team

We are seeking a Senior Account Project Manager (“Senior APM”) to join American Tower’s Leasing Operations organization. The Leasing Operations team is focused on all leasing aspects of American Tower’s assets.  The organization is comprised of account specific teams that manage the full life cycle of customers’ applications.  Day to day you will focus on overseeing all real estate activities, including application management, lease negotiations, regulatory and legal compliance, purchase order (“PO”) management, forecast management, and successful completion of required approvals and deliverables throughout the entire leasing transaction.  As a Senior APM, you will work cross functionally to develop and implement programs within your account to address specific requirements that may involve process and system improvements.  You will also develop and execute the training curriculum for onboarding employees into your assigned account.

What You Can Offer Us

• Responsible for developing and managing the strategy on specific programs within their assigned account. Examples include Lease Terminations, Closeout Remediation and PO Management.  Supervisory responsibilities may be required.


• Responsible for driving top-line growth for business for assigned account(s).


• Manage financial analysis and overall amendment budget for assigned accounts, keeping them within budget and on track to meet or exceed required revenue goals.  Work closely with stakeholder teams to develop tools and processes to drive monetary performance.


• Key operational interface between the customer and cross functional teams.  Ensure project related action items are reviewed and addressed in a timely manner; take the lead to provide proactive updates to customers.


• Manage the end-to-end process for projects with the highest level of difficulty, including sites requiring tower modifications, land negotiations, compliance and regulatory contingencies, etc.


• Proactively build and maintain strong customer relationships; maintain consistent communication and manage customer needs and expectations by ensuring project timelines are met.


• As a Senior APM you may be responsible for the recruitment, performance management and career development of Account Project Managers. You’ll also be expected to cultivate a collaborative team dynamic that enables us to meet our business objectives.


• Other duties as assigned.

What You Need to Succeed

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience required.


• Minimum of 7 years of customer experience required


• Minimum of 3 years project management experience required.


• Minimum of 4 years of network deployment leasing experience managing high volume transactions required.


• Experience in managing and leading a team preferred.


• Demonstrated experience with process and system improvement initiatives, including highlighting where opportunities exist as well as implementing improvements.


• Approximately 10% travel may be required in support of the position’s responsibilities.


• Strong organization, planning, and project management skills; ability to prioritize tasks for self and team to meet requirements and deadlines.


• Ability to work with different functional groups and levels of employees to effectively and professionally achieve results.


• Strong leadership skills; ability to drive and motivate team to achieve results.
