To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Sr. Test Engineer located in SLC, UT.
Reporting to the Test Engineering Manager, the Sr. Test Engineer will be responsible for implementing and maintaining cost-effective methods of testing and troubleshooting systems, software, and/or equipment.
What a typical day looks like:
Directs and/or coordinates electronic engineering and/or technical personnel in fabrication and design of testing and test control apparatus and equipment.
Directs and coordinates electronic engineering activities concerned with development, procurement, installation and calibration of instruments, equipment and control devices required to test, and record test data.
Interfaces and confers with scientific, engineering and technical personnel to resolve testing problems such as product or system malfunctions, incomplete test data, data interpretation or coding issues.
Trains and instructs floor support, test technicians and test operators on test hardware and/or software, as well as problem solving techniques.
Resolves test yield problems by performing analysis of root causes, developing and coordinating corrective action measures and monitoring improvements.
Determines conditions under which tests are to be conducted and sequences and phases of test operations and perform and support equipment verification and integration in production.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team,
4 Experience in test engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area.
Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and training (Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, etc.)
Develops test programs using various languages
Develops and/or supports diagnostic tests, test plans and procedures.
Experienced in corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) and writing validation reports (IQ/OQ/PQ).
Coordinates 3rd party development of functional test development, enhancements, test fixtures.
Demonstrated attention to detail in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Extensive customer interfacing skills are required. Presenting, meeting with customers, managing escalations, as needed.
Strong LINUX knowledge
Analytics skills
