As a result, we are now seeking experienced hires at Director level to focus on Operational Restructuring & Turnaround and advance their careers. • Financial and Operational Restructuring


• Debtor Restructuring


• Balance Sheet Restructuring


• Asset Sales


• Cash & liquidity management and forecasting


• Cross-border wind-downs


• Preparation and validation of business plans for company management teams


• Independent business reviews


• Short term cash flow forecasting frameworks


• Stakeholder reporting on PMO cost saving initiatives

In addition, the successful candidate will also possess excellent negotiating skills, ideally gained in an operational restructuring environment, whether in the context of negotiating with banks, closure of an entity/divestment of assets, commercial / supplier agreements, or dealing with management teams or trade unions. The ability to engage with ambitious deadlines under possible ambiguity is key, whilst mobilizing ones self and the team towards productive outcomes.

Ideally, a Director will be able to successfully identify client needs and win client trust. Ultimately, the successful appointee will be recognized by the client as the lead for value contributed on engagements and therefore build his/her own credible network of contacts and referral sources with clients, professionals and institutions.

The successful candidate will have;

• A strong academic & career track record combined with Restructuring experience gained at a Big 4 firm


• A well-developed financial skill set including an understanding of P&L and working capital performance improvement and a firm understanding of liquidity management, including the impact of risk


• A very strong financial modelling skill set including creating 13-week cash flow forecasts, constructing integrated financial models and analysing financial underperformance , long-term viability and applying valuation methods in a restructuring context


• The ability to build relationships with stakeholders and Clients within a challenging environment and to deliver the latest thinking within a highly competitive advisory marketplace


• Knowledge of Insolvency regimes and Labour Council negotiations is useful

A successful Restructuring Director will be experienced in addressing businesses critical issues at speed and will reflect the operational distinctiveness that is A&M; a business savvy, outcome focused business entrepreneur who is addicted to making an impact, determined to make a difference and not afraid to challenge the status-quo.

The ideal applicant will possess:

• Experience gained with the Corporate Recovery / Restructuring practice of a 'Big 4' firm or a leading Advisory firm dealing with turnaround projects


• A recognized accountancy qualification or a robust understanding of financial and analytical accounting (ratio analysis)


• Native Dutch and fluent business level English is essential. Additional European language skills including French, Spanish, German or Italian are highly desirable


• Experience in building 13week cash flows, integrated financial models and strong Excel/PowerPoint skills


• Good understanding of valuation methods


• Demonstrable experience of delivering complex projects and exceptional stakeholder management


• A strong desire to build on their existing skill set and develop knowledge of all restructuring offerings


• Experienced in working with operational and finance teams within large distressed organisations
