What you will do

As the Commercial Finance Manager you will work to support the Director and the BSNA sales team by developing annual budget/forecasts, and analyze month end results.  Works to ensure monthly reports are accurate and gain consistency in reporting across the business unit.  Continually works to improve reporting accuracy, functionality, and accountability.  Integral part of the month end close process and forecast/plan development.

How you will do it


  • Prepares, analyzes and reviews quarterly rolling forecasts, annual profit plans for the consolidated corporation.  Analyzes and reviews actual monthly financial performance and prepares periodic financial outlooks. 


  • Instinctively recognizes inconsistencies in financial data and initiates and manages the appropriate corrective action.


  • Calculates/measures progress towards executive compensation targets.


  • Acts in a consulting role with corporate department leaders, demonstrates understanding of the financial analysis process and applies that knowledge to developing cost effective analyses and recommendations and supporting the budgeting process.


  • Maintains dialog with executive management and business financial personnel to identify and evaluate evolving business issues.


  • Manages special studies and analyses on an independent basis, assuming responsibility for the quality and effectiveness of the studies/analyses.


  • Prepares materials for Board of Directors meetings and for quarterly earnings release / Analyst presentations


  • Support the sales team in the process and development of their quarterly outlook


  • Maintain and improve month-to-date sales trackers to drive accountability at the local market level


  • Analyze and monitor financials: month-end deep dives, discretionary spend analysis


  • Support the team in building quarterly outlooks and annual budgets


  • Continually work to improve the reporting packages


  • Supervision of a Finance Rotational/Intern


  • Lead other AdHoc studies/projects as needed


What we look for


  • Bachelor's Degree (or equivalent) in Accounting or Finance with a MBA or CPA preferred.


  • Progressive level of responsibility and a minimum of 8 years of rich experience in Finance Experience. Preferred working with sales and/or operations teams.


  • Strong written and oral communication skills(Professional proficiency in written and oral English)


  • Ability to think both analytically and conceptually


  • Excellent data mining and analytical skills.


  • Experience in cleansing data in preparation for analysis. 


  • Advanced in aggregating data from disparate sources to come together in an effective way.


  • Skilled and comfortable in Microsoft Office products including Excel (VLOOKUP, PIVOT, SUMIF, GRAPH), SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word, SQL, PowerBI or equivalent tool mandatory.


  • Demonstrated analytical skills, with a keen ability to synthesize diverse ideas/inputs into a cohesive execution plan.


  • Strong organizational and follow-up skills - able to work effectively across various leadership levels and styles


  • Proactive, creative, efficacious, and process-disciplined problem-solving ability.


  • Ability to build rapport, cultivate working relationships and drive collaboration across cross-functional teams.


  • Resourceful self-starter who can work with minimal supervision.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication. Ability to translate data analysis to insights and business results in business terms.


  • Long-term focused individual seeking upward mobility
