PGIM Private Capital’s Investment Operations team, located in Newark NJ, is seeking a bright, organized, analytical, and motivated individual for an Investment Operations Specialist position in their Performance Management and Reporting Team.  This team is primarily responsible for the calculation and reporting processes for PGIM’s private placement portfolio including portfolio management and total return reporting, track record preparation, IRR support, and enterprise assets under management. The position requires the associate to work independently on both structured responsibilities and project work with an emphasis on investment reporting and variance analysis. The ability to analyze results is critical and a working knowledge of valuation of private investments and related analytics associated with performance and valuation is preferred.

 

Your Impact:


  • Responsibility for the calculation and reporting of investment returns across the private portfolio. Modified Dietz, IRRs, Total Return, etc.

  • Track record maintenance

  • Assist in the monthly pricing process for Prudential’s private assets

  • Support of investor reporting, including Prudential’s general account and PPC’s 3rd party clients and funds

  • Prepare monthly and quarterly reports including material supporting presentations for executive management

  • Active participant in enhancements to the unit’s reporting system, from planning to testing

  • Provide accurate and timely support for internal and external audits, SOX, and EUC related issues

  • Involvement in special projects, initiatives and ad-hoc report and analysis requests

  • Analyze current processes to find efficiencies

  • Support new business initiatives

Your Required Skills:


  • 3+ years of relevant experience

  • Bachelor undergraduate degree (all subject areas considered)

  • Strong PC skills, including extensive knowledge of Microsoft Suite, specifically Excel

  • Knowledge of private placements and/or fixed income securities is a plus

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Strong problem-solving skills

  • Excellent communication and analytical skills

  • Ability to manage multiple assignments and changing priorities

  • Ability to work independently and interact effectively with team members and other internal/external partners
