MP Systems, LLC is a rapidly growing manufacturer of high pressure coolant systems and accessories for the CNC machining industry. Founded in 2005, our company crafts, builds, installs, and services systems for various machine-tool manufacturers all over the world. We are looking for an upbeat, determined Sales Development Representative to join our team, virtually supporting our CT headquarters (Locatedin East Granby, CT)

MP Systems will provide product and sales training, as well as provide a host of tools to the salesperson. This position will play a key role in driving MP Systems' continued growth and rapidly growing the brand's reach. MP Systems is a division of Morris Group, Inc., one of the largest machine tool distribution networks in North America.
Job Functions

As a Business Development Representative, you will be responsible for acquiring new customers and establishing ongoing business relationships. You will report to the Director of Marketing and New Business Development to plan and implement a market outreach strategy. Other duties include, but are not limited to:


  • Coordinating with the Inside Sales and Service teams to ensure a high level of customer satisfaction

  • Performing market research

  • Developing product and industry knowledge

  • Collaborating within the team to identify, facilitate, and supervise prospecting opportunities

  • Developing, organizing and communicating educational lunch & learn seminars for prospective customers

  • Maintaining and prioritizing contact lists, activities, reports and records in Salesforce CRM

  • Participating in company marketing and networking events

  • Representing the organization at scheduled sponsor events, tradeshows and conferences

  • Perform related duties as required

Job Requirements

  • High-school diploma or equivalent is required

  • The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of customer dynamics and the passion to follow the sales process from discovery to post sale stages

  • Success in this role requires persistence, self-motivation, and the ability to develop and work with a plan

  • The person must possess strong, professional communication, presentation and listening skills

  • High-level technical skills are not required but this person will need to be comfortable working with technical people and identify when and how to use the support team in the prospecting process

  • Up to 70% of travel is required, including frequent overnight trips
