PAY: $22.53 + shift diff

JOB SUMMARY:

Responsibilities:

This Packaging position, primarily operates the feed packer at a safe and productive rate.  In addition, this position manages all documentation, feed/tag match, and E1 status changes (bag issue) for the packaging system.  Also, this position may be asked to cover pack line one(1), pack line two(2), or the palletizer during breaks and lunches or during time of staffing need as determined by the shift operations supervisor or assigned Lead Operator.

Duties:

• Follow all plant policies and procedures, with respect to SAFETY.




• Follow all plant policies and procedures, with respect to Quality.




• Follow all plant policies and procedures, with respect to Attendance.




• Operate the Packing Unit, (Packer 1 and Packer 2):




• Operate the Palletizer:




• Operate the Palletizer during breaks and lunches as needed




• Complete the necessary shipping paper work accurately.




• Complete required safety checks on trailers, locks, and doors




• Complete shift forklift inspection – note defects and shutdown/tag as needed




• Ensure daily housekeeping duties are completed:




• Handle torn bags and reprocess material, i.e. dump RPM




• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

Must have a safe plant work record Annual certification at the operating unit for quality functions must be completed annually Attention to detail is a must Must have experience with operating REPETE, E1, EXCEL, WORD, EMAIL, Ability to calculate yield variance and explain calculation Ability to climb and work at heights Lift 50lb weight Pass forklift certification Mechanical aptitude, with the ability to troubleshoot problems, i.e. support maintenance activities Explain machine function and communicate with maintenance or supervisor when defects need addressed Strong math skills and attention to details a must.
