The Program Manager Infection Control RN will work for a non-profit health system known for their acute care hospitals, outpatient clinics, and specialty practices. This highly accredited acute care hospital is dedicated to delivering exceptional patient care to patients throughout the community through employing dedicated healthcare workers, utilizing state-of-the-art technology, and creating a welcoming environment for both their patients, visitors, and employees. 


Responsibilities of the Program Manager Infection Control RN include planning, coordinating, implementing and evaluating the Infection prevention and Infection control Program currently being offered at this medical center and the surrounding satellite facilities, initiate epidemiological investigations of unusual clusters or high rates of infection, continue ongoing performance improvement initiatives related to infection prevention and control, identify new processes and procedures to reduce or eliminate infections, educate clinical and non-clinical staff on best practices or techniques related to infection, maintain state and regulatory compliance, and update policy procedures. 


The Program Manager Infection Control RN will hold their Bachelor's degree with a clinical background overseeing, managing, or working in the Infection Prevention and Infection Control department for an acute care hospital. Ideally the Program Manager Infection Control will hold their CIC certification and RN license with prior experience working as an Infection Preventionist or Infection Control Practitioner.
