Arcadis is looking to hire Project Manager to support the Places Group. This position is to serve clients in Connecticut & Massachusetts and will be reporting to the Middletown, CT office.

Role description:

As a Project Manager, you will ensure that projects adhere to client requirements and business goals by developing and driving project plans, managing cross-functional teams, and coordinating activities within the established project timelines set forth by the Program Manager. You will be responsible for all project phases: planning, design/preconstruction, procurement, construction, commissioning & validation.

Role accountabilities:


  • Day-to-day management of the planning, engineering, construction, and handover aspects of the projects and all associated deliverables
  • Coordinating, scheduling, and reporting activities related to stakeholder management, benefits management, business change management and project communications
  • Coordinating activities related to the application for and approval of statutory local authority planning approvals required for the project
  • Ensuring that all appropriate technical standards are applied during the project implementation
  • Managing work to follow state, local, and Federal requirements
  • Ensuring all deliverables and constructed work are in conformance with the quality standards set forth in the contract documents
  • Maintaining project files, meetings records and correspondence, and project controls information
  • Work with client's stakeholder groups and third-party consultants, design consultants, construction management firms, and construction contractors to administer the design and/or construction contracts on behalf of client.
  • Provide updates to the site risk log with design information
  • Coordinate constructability reviews of the project documents.
  • Ensure design QA/QC is being performed, and report issues and gaps to client.
  • Oversee invoice/payment application processing, tracking, and reporting.
  • Negotiate, resolve, and close any outstanding change orders, quality issues, or disputes.
  • Assist Project Manager with management of overall project including supervision of internal staff, contractors, and subcontractors
  • Observe and monitor contractor team to ensure that the project is being constructed in accordance with the approved plan and specifications and that critical project milestone will be met
  • Assist in ensuring that project schedules and milestones are completed by the General Contractor/CM and subcontractors
  • Evaluating project scope, schedule, and budget to identify potential risks or issues and communicating those risks and issues to the PM team to ensure the project is not adversely impacted
  • Supervise inspection personnel and on-site construction for conformance with contract requirements
  • Generate detailed daily and weekly project reports for the client
  • Organize and direct daily field activities with internal staff, contractors, and subcontractors in accordance with project priorities, guidelines, and contractual obligations.
  • Ensure Health and Safety Plans are followed for all field activities, including subcontractors, and all work is completed in accordance Arcadis and client specific health and safety guidelines.
Qualifications :

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, business, related field or equivalent work experience
  • 5 years of experience

Full time positions also come with annual PTO days and at certain levels a bonus program may apply.

The Salary range for this role is $90,000 - $100,000.
