Responsible for creat ing and manag ing projects to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and improve quality in all areas of the manufacturing process
Will analyze dimensional, metallurgical, and cost data to prioritize projects.
Will work with other Engineers to determine process-related vs. tooling related issues and initiate projects to optimize tooling or implement process changes.
Will mentor Engineer I & II team-members and share ways of working to support organizational effectiveness
Responsible for tooling design approval, shrink factor analysis, and inspection-planning as needed to support NPI Engineering and MRB activity
Will communicate with tooling vendors to design concepts for wax pattern dies, gate dies, and inspection fixtures
Responsible for introduc ing new equipment and new processes.
Will share responsibility for the effect of technical decision/judgements on program schedules or goals critical to the organization with other high-level engineers and managers.
Qualifications
BS in Manufacturing, Industrial, Materials Engineering or related discipline required
Knowledge of First Article Inspection Reports, MRB disposition, Root Cause Corrective Actions, GD&T, and metrology required.
Must have experience with Project Management, Design of Experiments, Operations Planning, Cost Analysis and Manufacturing Process Controls.
4 to 8 years of experience in Aerospace Manufacturing preferred.
Experience with Metals Casting, Heat Treatment and Welding is a plus.
