JOB SUMMARY


Welltower’s Real Estate Management internship will provide you a broad and valuable hands-on experience within the healthcare commercial real estate industry. This 10-12 week program based out of our Dallas office is designed to give you meaningful learning experiences in 3 core areas of our business: Property Management, Leasing, and Asset Management.  As an intern, you will be working with a variety of professionals across our entire organization on real projects that will positively impact business results.

RESPONSIBILITIES


Property Management (First 2 weeks)



  • Assist in the vendor procurement process

  • Conduct site inspections that include janitorial, building maintenance and landscaping inspections.

  • Provide support to the service center through communications with maintenance technicians and work order management.


Leasing (4-5 weeks)



  • Create market rent comp database

  • Participate in the vacant space unit turnover process

  • Assist in marketing material preparation and other duties assigned by leasing and marketing team


Asset Management (4-5 weeks)



  • Compile data for the asset management plans and update plans under the direction of the asset management team

  • Support the asset management team in the monthly Joint Venture reporting packages

  • Assist the Finance team on financial analysis and other projects as assigned

TRAVEL


Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.


 


MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS


Education: Current undergraduate or graduate student majoring in Real Estate/Property Management, Business Administration, Hospitality Management, Marketing or Communications is a plus. Minimum 3.0 GPA required.


Experience: Prior internship experience in related field is preferred.
