Job Summary


TRDI is seeking a qualified business development professional to extend our reach and explore new and untapped business opportunities and relationships.   Our ideal candidate will be trusted to take the lead and use initiative to further develop the corporate mission.  The Business Development professional is responsible for various aspects in acquiring new and maintaining existing contracts.  This position is an on-site (non-remote) position in San Antonio, TX.


Duties


·         Research and identify potential new business opportunities


·         Monitor and evaluate industry trends and customer drivers and discuss strategy with management


·         Develop and maintain customer relations


·         Coordinate with executive team to establish bid / no-bid decisions


·         Participate in pre-bid conferences, other required conferences, and negotiations


·         Manage proposal response process, including detailed RFP requirements, content and/or deliverable requirements.


·         Compile and lead the development of price proposals to meet required timelines


·         Compile and lead the development of technical proposals  to meet required timelines


·         Negotiate contract terms with customers and communicate with stakeholders


·         Maintain accurate and orderly business development electronic files


·         Track contract performance, both from a financial and operational standpoint


·         Analyze and report Key Performance Indicators and other metrics to executive team


·         Other duties as assigned


Skills/Abilities Required


·         Ability to communicate orally and in writing in a clear and concise manner


·         Ability to maintain confidentiality of information


·         Ability to manage time effectively


·         Ability to make decisions and solve problems while working under pressure


·         Detail oriented with strong organizational skills


·         Intermediate to advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Package (i.e. Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)


·         Ability to deliver meaningful presentations


Travel Requirements


Occasional travel to contract sites in 9 states.


Qualifications:


 Education


            Bachelors with a concentration in Accounting, Finance, Economics.


Experience


·         Proficient in MS Excel


·         Knowledge of CRM Software (i.e. Salesforce)


·         Federal Contracting/Service Contract Act (SCA) Experience preferred
