This position is responsible for providing analytical support to the Commercial Finance team on various projects and daily tasks. Responsibilities include a wide range of duties including financial reporting, analyzing data, and budgeting. The intern will be responsible for completing specific duties related to month end close, planning, forecasting, budgeting and general business analysis.  All assigned tasks will be managed and reviewed by a member of the Commercial Finance Team.

Responsibilities

Primarily duties within the Commercial Finance organization.  Specific duties to include (but not limited to) the following:

• Assist in the collection of monthly financial data and analysis of monthly financial results


• Support monthly and quarterly forecasting, planning and reporting


• Assist in the preparation of the monthly financial reporting package


• Assistance with ongoing projects as needed


• Assist with maintenance of process documentation


• Assist with coordination and compilation of data for additional reporting and analysis


• Ad hoc reporting and analysis as assigned

Qualifications

• Undergraduate major in Accounting or Finance (preference: candidate completed three years of undergraduate studies)


• Minimum GPA of 3.0


• Proficiency with personal computers and associated word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and database software


• Experience with accounting information systems is considered a plus

Core Competencies to be Successful: – Excellent communication and interaction skills, both oral and written.  Solid financial acumen and analytical/problem solving ability.  Strong customer service orientation is required with ability to manage multiple priorities and timelines.  Must be able to function in a fast-paced environment and be able to adapt to rapidly changing priorities.  Requires one to be a team player with a positive attitude, highly motivated, a change oriented individual able to work with a variety of people at all levels; as well as, a self starter with the ability to work independently or in a team.  

Physical Requirements/Work Environment

• Occasional lifting up to 25 lbs.


• Sitting, working at desk/personal computer for extended periods of time


• Primary work environment is professional corporate office


• Ability to travel commercially to domestic and international locations
