The Firm has an opening for a full-time Litigation Analyst to work from the Indianapolis or Chicago office.

The Opportunity

The primary responsibilities of the Litigation Analyst are to manage and analyze large sets of data related to class action litigation. In addition, the Litigation Analyst will assist with litigation support matters in conjunction with the Firm’s litigation support team, including the day-to-day support of data management, review, production, and case organization. The Litigation Analyst position will primarily work with legal teams on data analysis projects in support of the development of exposure analyses and other pertinent summaries of client-provided data, including hours of service, load and pay data.

Litigation Analyst Duties and Responsibilities


  • Organizes and normalizes data from one or more sources and prepares data for quantitative and qualitative analysis.

  • With attorney supervision, creates quantitative analyses of client-provided data in order to understand potential client exposure in class action litigation.

  • Prepares and presents summaries of key data points and materials explaining analysis to internal litigation team and client.

  • Consults with attorneys, other professional staff, and clients to determine efficient methods for data collection, data processing, and document production.

  • Utilizes firm’s systems to collect, process, and produce client data.

  • Facilitates completion of various tasks, including keyword searches, analysis of client data and filtering of system files and non-responsive file type culling, privilege logs, coding, depositions, and general trial preparation.

  • Maintains accurate chain-of-custody records.

  • Other duties as assigned.


  • Three to five years’ experience as a litigation analyst, paralegal or litigation support specialist in a law firm or corporate legal setting preferred.

  • In-depth Excel skills, including the use of pivot summaries, power query, date/time formulas, and normalization of data for analysis.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Knowledge of electronic discovery, available litigation technology software, and the use of electronic evidence in the litigation process preferred.

  • Strong analytical skills and a systematic and logical approach to problem-solving.

  • Ability to work effectively within a changing environment and manage multiple priorities.

  • Strong project management skills.

  • Ability to work collaboratively with case team.

  • Exceptional client service orientation.

  • Experience providing on-site trial support a plus.

  • SQL and database knowledge a plus.

  • Experience with eDiscovery management systems such as Relativity, Casepoint, Case Notebook, and Trial Director, as well as experience with data visualization software such as Monarch Datawatch and database management a plus.
