RESPONSIBILITIES: The Learning Commons is a large, high traffic space for student engagement, providing (not limited to) comprehensive learning support services, educational resource management, and college and career readiness programs. The Program Administrator (WCC) is responsible for the administration and management of all Learning Commons activities, including hiring staff, and ensuring continuity and alignment with similar services offered on the Valhalla campus.
This position will manage the development and implementation of the Yonkers Campus Learning Commons. As part of the Yonkers Campus leadership team, the incumbent will support the staff, faculty, and students by providing leadership in the implementation and ongoing activities associated with the Learning Commons, contributing to the achievement of the college's student success, recruitment, and retention goals.
This is a full time, 12 month position, which reports to the Division Coordinator (CC-EXT) of the Yonkers Campus. The incumbent also works in partnership and alignment with the Dean of Learning Resources

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's Degree and three years of experience in the field of education, educational administration, or analyses of customer needs, program operations, marketing or customer services is required.
The Program Administrator (WCC) of the Learning Commons must have superior written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills, excellent listening, organizational and proficient computer skills using the Microsoft Office suite of applications.
The Program Administrator (WCC) must also possess a student-centered teaching and advisement philosophy and demonstrate the ability to work well with students, faculty, and staff at all levels within a diverse, multi-cultural, collaborative, and creative environment.
This position requires a motivated leader with the ability to deliver a high level of interactive customer service, as well as develop and maintain collaborative relationships inside and outside of the college. The incumbent will have a record of prioritizing effectively, solving problems proactively, managing multiple projects simultaneously with high levels of accuracy, and achieving goals within or ahead of established time frames.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A Masters' Degree in an academic field relevant to academic skills development, academic advisement, student support services or related field is strongly preferred. Knowledge of Peoplesoft, Brightspace, student support applications, and e-resources is also preferred.

SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $79,822 plus excellent benefits.
WORK SCHEDULE: The regular work hours are Monday - Thursday 11am - 7pm; Friday 9am-5pm (switching Fridays with Saturdays will be required according to program needs). Flexibility of hours may be required. Evening and weekend work may also be required.
