Job Description:

This non-profit hospital offers a comprehensive continuum of inpatient and outpatient healthcare services, expertise and specialties, including orthopedics and spine care, cancer care, cardiac and vascular care, stroke, obstetrics & maternity care, pediatrics, emergency care as well as diagnostic imaging, screening, testing and urgent care.

The Director of Urgent Care is responsible for:

• Planning, organizing and directing the overall operation of the Urgent Care and Retail Medicine and Corporate Wellness.


• Oversee, project lead, open and develop all aspects of Urgent Care strategies.


• Oversee, develop and implement Executive and Corporate Health Programs.


• Develop a virtual health program.


• Oversee five (5) existing centers regulations, safety, guidelines team members, budgets, quality and productivity.


• Works closely with the Medical Directors to ensure all goals and quality initiatives are met.


• Other duties as assigned

Requirements: 

• Bachelor's degree related to the healthcare or business field.


• Master's degree in Management or Business preferred.


• Healthcare background required; clinical license preferred


• Valid Driver's license required.


• Minimum of 3 years of Urgent Care experience in a supervisory capacity or lead position.


• Minimum 5 years' experience managing different business units and/or in retail medicine and ambulatory practice.


• Working knowledge of applicable federal, state and local laws and regulations.


• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Organized with good attention to detail.


• Proven ability in developing marketing strategies.


• Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite of products.


• Demonstrates understanding and knowledge of principles of healthcare and personnel management, including experience in the operations and management of urgent care centers.


• Ensures adequate staffing is maintained to provide efficient and safe patient care


• High concentration and high complexity of decision making


• Experience with obtaining/maintaining accreditations; knowledge of Urgent Care Association accreditation preferred


• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously


• Experience managing department finances; working knowledge of operational budgets
