Job Title: Field Timekeeper & Billing Accountant



Job Summary: MOR PPM, Inc. seeks a Field Timekeeper & Billing Accountant that may support short term and long term projects that are performed by the job sites mainly in Southeast Region but could extend outside the region. This role requires travel and with short notice. This role has matrix reporting between project leader and corporate operating functions like Finance and Human Resources.



Essential Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Prepare and submit customer invoices on a weekly and monthly manner comparing contract terms and applying billing rates from timesheet data

  • Collect timesheets and enter hours, rate of pay and/or per diem accurately

  • Reviews pre-payroll registers for accuracy and resolves any discrepancies with PPM Corporate Finance

  • Process hiring and HR related paperwork in multiple systems accurately and timely

  • Maintain cloud-based personnel, medical, safety and confidential file records

  • Perform eVerify tasks and signs off on I-9 as the employer

  • Handle communications with customers about past due amounts and disputed invoices

  • May administer drug tests related to post accident, pre-employment and random

  • Acts as liaison with PPM Corporate Human Resources with properly identifying applicants and dispositioning within UltiPro system

  • Responsible for maintaining accurate data in JDE system and submitting proper paperwork timely to PPM Corporate offices

  • Assists with Open Enrollment as needed

  • May intake employee concerns and escalate to PPM Corporate Human Resources

  • May act as facilitator between project and corporate resources for materials and tools

  • Request PO's for materials from PPM Corporate Purchasing

  • Handle communications with customers about past due amounts and disputed invoices

  • May travel as necessary to job sites and assist with HR related activities.

  • Other duties as assigned or as project related.


Experience:



  • At least 2 years' experience in billing/invoicing/payroll. Prior field clerk, accounting, expediting or project controls experience may be substituted.

  • 1-year of experience supporting multi job sites or working remote is preferred


Qualifications & Skills:



  • Must be able to perform data tasks in Excel such as Pivot Tables, Filters, and Sort. Preferred experience with Macros, Queries and VLookup in Excel.

  • Must be able to perform data reporting/data matching using Excel and working with formulas

  • Experience with programs such as O365, Adobe Pro, DocuSign is required.

  • Knowledge of JD Edwards financial package is preferred

  • Must be able to multi-task and support various workforce groups.

  • Demonstrated success in team leadership, process adherence, ownership/commitment, learning agility and risk management

  • Strategic thinker who can establish and manage plans while building and fostering

  • Interpersonal skills such as oral, verbal, and written communication and reasoning is required.


Physical Requirements/Job Site Requirements:



  • This role may require the ability to travel outside assigned area is estimated 40% of the time

  • This position requires working hours and schedule consistent with project assignment

  • Must be able to adhere to customer/job site requirements such as

    • Must be able to move in and around confided spaces and uneven areas

    • Must have full range of motion consistent with age

    • Must be able to climb and maintain balance ladders

    • Must be able to adequately hear and respond to voice commands and alerts from other employees, alarms, and other job-related noises

    • Visual acuity, depth perception and color discrimination consistent with that required to work at heights and on uneven surfaces

    • Safety/Steel toe shoes are required at PPM job sites.
