Position Title: Project Manager

Reports To: Sales Operations Specialist or Program Supervisor

Department: FOH - Direct

Primary Location: Portland, Oregon Office

Position Summary:

Reporting to the Sales Operations Specialist or FOH Program Supervisor, the Project Manager is responsible for managing and executing client quotes, project starts/approvals and intake. The incumbent consistently and successfully coordinates all resources required for the timely and accurate completion of quotes, setting up projects for hand off to the Production Team (BOH), and providing customer service as the first line of communication for our clients at intake.

The incumbent is expected to exercise initiative, discretion and independent judgment when supporting LanguageLine clients. It is essential for the FOH Project Manager to support both the Sales and Operations teams; develop and nurture relationships with both clients and in-house staff to ensure that requirements are met; and that quotes are provided in a timely and professional manner. Good communication abilities are needed to deal with the large number of concurrent activities and people who are involved in servicing our clients.

Position Duties & Responsibilities


  • Supports the Solutions Manager, FOH Program Supervisor, FOH Sr. Project Managers and Sales in the preparation of quotes and project plans, including time schedules, identification/assignment of human and technical resources.

  • Manages and completes all quotes as per established guidelines.

  • Coordinates resource requirements as need for project set up/quotes.

  • Build strong personal relationships with current and prospective clients.

  • Maintain and update key LLTS business systems.

  • Adheres to the established procedures for managing client projects by identifying issues or improvements, and refers to the appropriate process improvement team.

  • Monitors quality control procedures to ensure that all quality checks are completed.

  • Contributes directly to our company Quality Policy, and demonstrates an ongoing commitment to the company's goal of total and complete customer satisfaction through continual process improvement.

  • Support LLS' Quality Management System (QMS) to continually improve the Division's processes, procedures, and services; and thereby increase efficiency, productivity, effectiveness and customer satisfaction.

  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements


  • Knowledge of MS Word suite (Word, Excel, PPT, Outlook).

  • Attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to multi-task.

  • Proven ability to manage changing priorities in a fast-moving environment.

  • Strong oral and written communication skills and commercial awareness

  • Excellent work ethic and ability to maintain confidential and proprietary information.

  • Foreign language skills a plus.

Appropriate Education and Experience:


  • A minimum of a Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

  • Hands-on knowledge of database functions and concepts.

  • Must be very resourceful, with the ability to work independently.

  • Must have proven organizational and communication skills.
