Job Description:

Summary
The Business Analyst supports the management and execution of the data for Datacenter Physical Security team. This role is responsible for furthering our data collections and analysis practice in support of the Datacenter Physical Security Operations program. This role requires experience in data analytics, metrics optimizations, requirement gathering, data sourcing, query building, data analysis, and data visualization (including but not limited to Power BI, Excel, etc.). This role will also manage reporting projects and initiatives, communicating findings with various stakeholders which could include executive audiences. The successful candidate will be an intellectually curious, self-directed individual with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. This role is highly collaborative in nature providing support for both internal and client teams.
Essential Functions

  • Act as a liaison between the business functions and the technical team and communicate vision to developers and testers with functional details.
  • Able to breakdown complex technical concepts to non-technical users. Translate complex business problems into simple, actionable, and scalable solutions.
  • Collaborates cross-functionally to support the growth of the Datacenter Physical Security program.
  • Ensures stakeholder requirements are captured, agreed upon, communicated and measured.
  • Responsible for process of design, construction of reports and visualizations while ensuring long-term maintainability and scalability.
  • Builds custom Power BI reports and dashboards, ensuring a compelling, consistent, and accurate story across all audiences.
  • Enable effective decision making by retrieving and aggregating data from multiple sources and compiling it into digestible and actionable format, all while balancing competing priorities.
  • Proactively analyze key reports to make recommendations on trends that should be investigated by teams responsible for the data.
  • Use of statistical methods to analyze data generate useful business reports to depict trends.
  • Produces custom T-SQL code to obtain, filter, and extract data.
  • Automates and streamlines reports and daily tasks; continuously improving the team's reporting capabilities.
  • Supports the program teams with essential reporting functions, compliance tracking, data analysis, and process documentation.
  • Completes a weekly update report to demonstrate progress to goals and milestones achieved, providing regular updates to stakeholders.
  • Maintains a "customer service" approach to problem solving and works with client to find solutions to questions or concerns.
  • At the direction of the Senior Global Manager, delivers ad hoc reports and performs other duties as assigned to ensure the overall success of the Datacenter Physical Security program.

    Minimum QUALIFICATIONS AT ENTRY

    Minimum Hiring Standards
    • Must be at least 18 years of age.
    • Must have a reliable means of communication, such as cell phone.
    • Must have a reliable means of transportation (public or private).
    • Must have the legal right to work in the country the position is based out of.
    • Must have the ability to speak, read, and write English.
    • Must have a high school diploma, secondary education equivalent, or GED.
    • Must be willing to participate in the Company's pre-employment screening process, including drug screen and background investigation.
    Education/Experience
    • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Statistics, Computer Science, Mathematics, Economics, Data Science, or related field or equivalent experience and 5 years of demonstrated experience in this discipline, or equivalent combination of education and experience to perform the essential functions of the job, as determined by the company.
    • Minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in development, architecture, and analyst experience to support design of enterprise Business Intelligence Solutions.
    • 3 years of experience developing dashboards, governed reports, embedded analytics, and visualizations using Power BI as a data analyst/data scientist.
    • 1 year of experience in full data warehouse implementation and knowledge of developing a highly performance report and visualization.
    • Highly proficient with SQL to process complex datasets from multiple sources quickly.
    • Highly proficient with data visualization in Power BI, with experience implementing within SharePoint.
    • Advanced-level skill using Microsoft Office Suite including Power BI, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Visio and SharePoint.
    • Extensive computer Operations System knowledge.
    • Some understanding of Azure Data Services.
