Job Description:

Deadline to apply: Until filled Saint Vincent College currently has a opening for a Vice President of Institutional Advancement. This is a full-time position with benefits. The Vice President of Institutional Advancement is responsible for the overall planning and management of the traditional areas of advancement; Alumni, Development and Public Relations. Responsibilities include the planning, implementation, and evaluation of any proposed capital campaign; planning and implementation of unrestricted and restricted annual campaigns; and an overall responsibility for the advancement efforts of the entire college community. The Vice President of Institutional Advancement is most directly involved with the complete process of development relative to the top prospects of the institution.
Education: Baccalaureate Degree (minimum), Masters Degree preferred
Experience: The minimum level of experience necessary is 10 years of involvement and progressive success in development activities: Annual Fund, Special Gifts, Planned Giving with a working knowledge of Alumni Affairs. Demonstrated skills in written and verbal communication, personnel management and multi-task management. A necessary requirement is personal direction of at least one capital campaign.
Essential duties:1. Plan departmental operations and strategy for Institutional Advancement.2. Lead Institutional Advancement personnel.3. Coordinate the President's Advancement activity.4. Accompany the President and senior leadership on key calls to individuals, foundations and corporations.5. Communicate with the College Board of Directors.6. Cultivate key constituents.7. Solicitate key prospects.8. Manage the capital campaign.
Other duties:1. Maintain operating budget.2. Participate in campus committees.3. Attend campus based and local area events.4. Cultivate general constituent population.5. Complete extraordinary assignments as assigned by the President, Archabbot and Executive Vice President & Chief Operating Officer.
Special challenges and environment: Perform, meet and exceed expectations of the President, Archabbot, and Board of Directors with regard to campaign goals, annual goals, marketing and alumni relations' goals.
