The Enterprise Data Strategy team within Global Data & Analytics (GD&A) has been built to enable Cigna's evolved strategy to be champions of affordable, simple, and predicable health care by providing high quality, timely, well understood, and scalable data assets & services. Our ultimate vision is to ensure Cigna's data will be owned, organized, governed, and well-documented so that it's useful, fit for purpose, and aligned with business strategy.

This role requires a candidate with a strong data management background who understands data - ingestion, proper use/consumption, quality, and stewardship. In this role you will develop and manage data quality rules, dashboards, and automated routines to support data quality processes, champion automated measurement, and partner with stakeholders to identify data improvement opportunities as a member of the Enterprise Data Quality Service team

Responsibilities:


  • Transform requirements into technical data quality rules, maintain the data quality rules and code base, create automated measurement & monitoring routines, contribute technical expertise to support root cause analysis of system issues, and develop & maintain operational dashboards


  • Work with data quality teams, data governance teams, and technology partners to implement solutions that monitor and mitigate data quality risks, including:

    • Applying analytical techniques to identify data patterns and quality issues


    • Measuring and auditing large volumes of data for remediation or recurrence of quality issues. Contributing technical expertise to analyze data anomalies.


    • Enabling alerting and self-service capabilities for key data quality indicators


    • Configuring & maintaining data quality systems


    • Evaluating & implementing algorithms for proactive identification of opportunities to improve data quality





● Develop data quality procedures, best practices, and related knowledge content

  • Support efforts to communicate quality of enterprise data assets and the value realized through data improvement efforts.


  • Orchestrate data quality work within the Agile framework and other methodologies where required for on-time delivery of data quality measures and results to stakeholders


Must Have's


  • 5+ years' experience managing the design, development, and continuous improvement of complex data, systems, tools, analysis, and reporting


  • 5+ years' experience of doing data analysis, root cause analysis, and data profiling in varied data environments.


  • 3+ years' experience working with statistical analysis, object-oriented programming, data mining / model building, business intelligence, visualization methodologies, and tools such as SQL, R, Python, SAS, Looker, Tableau, Hue and TOAD


  • Working knowledge of enterprise data management, governance, and quality required


  • Strong communication skills.


Good to Have's


  • Experience and working knowledge of data and analytics in a healthcare data management environment is a plus


  • Experience in migrating manual data quality processes to an automated, sustainable framework is preferred


  • Experience and working knowledge of enterprise data quality software and platforms preferred - direct working knowledge of Collibra products is a differentiator


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 89,800 - 149,600 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
