Job Description:

KTNV, The E.W. Scripps ABC station in Las Vegas, Nevada is seeking an Morning Anchor/Reporter to join our team of talented and experienced journalists. We seek someone with significant anchor experience, strong enterprise reporting skills, with deep emotional story-telling techniques.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Anchor morning newscasts Monday-Friday.




• Gather and write news content for multiple platforms, including posting stories on the Internet .




• Report live on location from various news events, breaking news and stories.




• Research, develop and report news stories regularly.




• Perform various community service activities for station, including attending community events, performing as master of ceremonies for public service events and as host/hostess for station events.




• Periodically required to drive personal or company vehicle to cover various assignments.




• Perform other duties as needed and assigned.

WHAT YOU'LL NEED:

• Bachelor's degree in broadcast journalism or related degree or equivalent years of experience.




• Minimum of 2 years' experience. 5+ years anchor/reporting experience preferred.

WHAT YOU'LL BRING:

• Strong broadcast and digital writing skills.




• Ability to communicate effectively.




• Basic computer skills required.




• Strong organizational skills.




• Knowledge of local, regional, and national news.




• Work well under pressure and at a fast pace.




• Working knowledge of all social media platforms.
