Reporting up to the Director of Surgical Services, the RN Manager of Surgical Services will lead operations in one of the hospital’s foremost centers of excellence. This person will work closely with the Assistant Nurse Manager of Surgical services to provide leadership over the teams in the Operating Rooms, PreOp/PACU, and Central Sterile Processing.

This busy Surgical Department has 7 Operating Rooms that perform Orthopedic, Neuro, Stroke, Vascular, and Trauma operations. Supporting this unit is a PreOp and PACU/Recovery area and an amazing team leading the Post-Op clinical care. The RN Manager of Surgical Services will work closely with the Director of Perioperative Services, Surgical PA/NPs, Surgeons in all specialties, and a tenured team of CNOR RNs.

The RN Manager of Surgical Services will be responsible for the administration and leadership of the overall nursing care provided within the assigned department. This role will spearhead quality improvement initiatives such as improving turnaround times and on-time starts. In addition, this role will sponsor and support ongoing education initiatives and will serve as a subject matter expert, and will cultivate the next generation of Nurse Leaders. The RN Manager of Surgical Services will be responsible for the departmental budgeting, staffing, operations, and maintaining physician relationships within the team.
