Job Description:

Reporting to the VP, International FP&A and will be responsible for supporting the financial planning & analysis (FP&A) function. The FP&A function includes strategic business planning and the translation of strategic plans into financial goals. This individual will need to effectively manage forecast, actuals, annual plan and strategic plan data to ensure timely, accurate reporting and analytics and support in offering data-driven insights for the business. 

 

Key Responsibilities:


  • Manage and work closely with team to coordinate the planning and forecasting process, including the multi-year strategic plan, the annual operating budget and quarterly forecast process.

  • Develop and utilize data-driven analytics, including reports and dashboards, to generate value-added insights and actionable recommendations to drive growth and influence KPIs.

  • Support head of FP&A in developing both long-term and short-term financial goals for the business.

  • Prepare planning, forecasting and variance analysis/commentary for key stakeholders across COG’s executive leadership team

  • Prepare analysis for quarterly reporting packages for executive management

  • Make recommendations on improving process and planning/forecasting improvements


  • A university degree in economics, business, accounting or finance, MBA desired

  • Internationally recognized accounting designation (CPA, CA) preferred but not required.

  • 2-5 years working across FP&A and be able to articulate having a deep understanding of FP&A processes.  Experience in the insurance industry is a plus. 

  • Possess excellent business acumen with the ability to support recommendations provided to executive management and be able to demonstrate ability to lead projects cross-functionally across the organization.

  • Extensive knowledge and experience in managing both strategic and tactical activities within finance and experience managing internal and external business partners across various business disciplines.
