90% FTE, day/evening shift rotation, one in three weekend rotation, holiday rotation. Hours are based off the operational needs of the department. The 5th floor Inpatient unit is a fast-paced, 27-bed medical surgical general care unit that offers rewarding nursing opportunities at a Magnet designated hospital.

We are seeking a Care Team Leader to:

• 
  Join our Remarkable team at UW Health East Madison Hospital. This is UW Health’s newest hospital and one of the most advanced hospitals and wellness centers in the country.


• 
  Come collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to provide excellent care on a 27-bed inpatient unit consisting of an exciting blend of post-operative surgical specialties and medicine patients.


• 
  Bring your passion for nursing to our fast-paced environment.  Our unit has a short length of stay that will challenge you to use your nursing judgement and utilize your skills in critical thinking, assessment, delivering patient education and more.

Education:

Minimum - Baccalaureate degree in nursing or ADN and achievement of BS in nursing within 5 years of hire.

Preferred - Baccalaureate degree in nursing

Work Experience:

Minimum - Two (2) years’ experience in an acute care inpatient unit

Preferred - Three (3) years’ experience in an acute care inpatient unit and/or intermediate care unit.

Licenses and Certifications:

Minimum - Registration as a professional nurse in the State of Wisconsin. CPR certification. ACLS certification

Preferred - National certification in relevant specialty
