What We Need From You

Barnes Healthcare Services is seeking a Community Pharmacy Manager that supports the overall business plan and strategic direction of the organization by leading strategic and daily activities in the organization's retail pharmacy and collaborating with other departments/divisions to provide exceptional patient care while achieving organizational goals and KPIs.

Essential Functions


  • Leads recurring functions or processes necessary for patient care and identifies opportunities for improvement or efficiencies.

  • Drives quality efforts throughout the pharmacy to include customer service issues and systematic work improvements.

  • Align policies and initiatives with the requirements and demands of licensing bodies (Board of Pharmacy)

  • Build additional pharmacy business in collaboration with the Enhanced Retail Services Manager through outreach to community providers and other business organizations.

  • Prepares medications by reviewing and interpreting physician orders, detecting therapeutic incompatibilities, monitoring drug therapies, and advising/documenting interventions.

  • Maintains current registration, studies existing and new legislation, anticipates legislation and advises management on needed actions

  • Models the Barnes Culture and coaches and develops team members.

Minimum qualifications and skills


  • Bachelor’s Degree in Pharmacy, Business Administration, a related field, or equivalent experience required.

  • Doctorate in Pharmacy preferred.

  • Active/Good Standing Pharmacist License with the Georgia Board of Pharmacy is required.

  • A minimum of one year of Pharmacist in Charge (PIC) experience in retail pharmacy -or- five years of experience as a retail pharmacist is preferred.

  • P&L experience is strongly preferred.
