Job Description:

DH Pace Company, Inc. is looking for a Contract Analyst to join our Risk Services team. In this administration role, your main duties will be to review various construction contracts, bids, service agreements, and change orders under the direction of the VP of Risk Management.


The Contract Analyst supports the Risk Services team by providing exceptional contract support to our internal customers. This individual will also be responsible for administering the contract operations workflow and database. Key attributes include:  focused self-starter, results-oriented, strong attention to detail, high level of accuracy, and an energetic, professional attitude.


Candidate must be able to demonstrate understanding of basic contract elements and terminology.  This position will seek ways to the improve the contract review process and to help the department function more efficiently while maintaining a high level of customer service.


Job Responsibilities:



  • Develops, drives, and maintains a contracting strategy for the organization that is cognizant of current market trends and aligns with the company vision.

  • Work in tandem with multiple Operational groups to support/develop strategies to protect company from Risk and promote Company growth.

  • Review terms and conditions of bids, POs, and contracts under the direction of the Risk Manager.

  • Review Terms and Conditions of various customer documents to ensure they meet our guidelines.

  • Preliminary contract negotiations with regional and national Customers.

  • Coordinate reporting and archiving of all contract documents.

  • Develop and manage reporting and oversee internal project timelines to meet delivery deadlines.

  • Maintain/Participate in the Contracts Process Improvement by collaborating on enhancements designed to augment the operations of the Contract process and Library throughout the Contract Lifecycle.

  • Other duties as may be assigned by Management.


Job Requirements:



  • Associates Degree from an accredited institution with an emphasis in Risk Management, Law, Business Administration or related field and 2+ years’ experience.

  • Legal/Paralegal experience and accreditation is a plus.

  • Insurance, licensing, or construction experience also a plus.

  • Must have strong communication skills and an attention to detail.

  • Must have knowledge of relevant software required, including but not limited to MS Office Suite.
