HPE is seeking an outstanding software engineer to be part of the HPE Entry Storage Engineering team.  HPE is transforming how our customers consume, optimize, manage, and protect their datacenter infrastructure. You will play a big part in helping the Entry Storage Engineering team deliver this transformation by supporting the development of its as-a-service (aaS) software pipeline while also helping customer support, marketing, and sales deliver more value to our customers.

You will be joining a small, agile, empowered team, develop all aspects of a modern data processing pipeline from data acquisition, data-engineering and analytics as well as its presentation and visualization. You will work on operational workflows that simplify the customer’s experience deploying and managing Entry Storage infrastructure. You will work with modern frameworks like Kubernetes. Our team leverages a modern big-data and micro service-based technology stack for our end-to-end data processing, analysis, API, and web application and  our software will be  delivered via fully automated CI/CD pipelines in HPE’s common cloud ecosystem.

Responsibilities:


  • Technical contributor and leader, as a full-stack developer in a small, cross-functional development team, focused on building as a service functionality  for HPEs big data team

  • Work with the UX and User Centered Design teams to provide our customers a simple but powerful User Experience through our JavaScript web application

  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our bakend pipeline powered by goLang, gRPC, Kafka, and other modern pipeline frameworks.

  • Develop unit, integration, system or any tests that are needed to help the team deliver value quickly, with a high degree of quality, to our customers

  • Leverage big-data technologies for data analytics, including Spark, Kafka, Elasticsearch, Cassandra as well as Graph and time-series Databases

  • Work with users to develop complex business analytics that provide visibility for upsell opportunities, proactive customer service, and insights to improve the quality, reliability, and serviceability of HPE storage products

Education and Experience


  • Bachelor/Master's in Computer Science/Engineering program, or equivalent

  • 5+ years of relevant experience

Knowledge and Skills


  • Team player with a passion for learning, programming, automation, and data analytics

  • Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

  • Excellent communications skills

  • REST API development experience using Java, goLang, Python,

  • HTML/JavaScript/CSS web development experience

Some experience with any of the following is a plus:


  • Data analytics experience with Elasticsearch, Cassandra and Prometheu

  • Microservice architecture

Annual salary disclosure applies to these states:

Colorado

Annual Salary: $109,400.00 - $251,500.00
