An Eastern New Mexico Hospital is looking for a Surgery Staff Nurse to join their team and provide direct patient care on the surgical services unit.

This eastern New Mexico Hospital is in close proximity to Texas and has around 110 beds. This Hospital serves the community of Eastern New Mexico and Western Texas. It has highly skilled doctors and nurses and provides a wide range of services for its patents’ healthcare needs. This facility specializes in Cancer Care, home health and hospice, as well as primary care and specialty services. This hospital is part of one of the largest healthcare systems in all of New Mexico, Arizona, and California. This healthcare system is locally owned, not-for-profit, and is the state’s largest private employer with more than 12,500 employees.

This hospital wants a Surgery RN to join their staff and assist by being responsible for utilizing the nursing process to provide direct patient care to the surgery unit and its patients. This hospital is looking for a Surgery RN who can:

• Provide direct patient care by assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, and documenting individual patient needs, actions taken and patient responses.


• Coordinate patients care through collaboration with the patient/family and healthcare team.


• Perform assessments as per unit standards and documents on appropriate data base/assessment flow sheet.


• Administer medication and treatments as prescribed by physician, or standard protocols and documents according to policy.


• Assume responsibility for the clinical supervision of LPNs and non-licensed assistive personnel.


• Assist with various procedures, treatments, surgical techniques or assigns to other healthcare team members as appropriate.
