POSITION SUMMARY
The Equipment Health Technician will remotely monitor equipment health and communicate abnormal operating conditions to field operations, maintenance personnel, and other applicable members of the organization. This position will utilize available technical data and oil and maintenance history to make recommendations on equipment conditions and repairs needed. The Equipment Health Technician will track and record all findings related to the ongoing monitoring of equipment in NexTier applications.
Key Accountabilities
Essential Functions
Remotely monitor equipment health to identify and communicate abnormal operating conditions to the organization
Utilize available information to develop high-quality callouts for action or investigation
Log all call-outs within NexTier’s proprietary tracker for recording, follow-up, and escalation of each issue
Work with Equipment Health Management (EHM) team to discuss and review callouts and unresolved items
Collaborate with EHM Team to identify trends and chronic issues
Collaborate with the Maintenance team providing individual unit reviews based on available performance and maintenance data
Collect information for root cause analysis on premature component failures
Assist with the implementation and evaluation of new technologies to further advance the EHM Program
Provide daily verbal and written reports to Field and EHM Teams
Further develop reporting to clearly convey corrective actions required to maximize the life of major components
Support NexTier’s commitment to low carbon through the support of NexGen technologies
Perform all other job duties as assigned.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
Knowledge/Skill/Ability
Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365 including Outlook and Excel
Communicates effectively through written and verbal communication
Experience in hydraulic fracturing and high-pressure pumping equipment operation
Ability to operate in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
Ability to dynamically analyze and recommend solutions to problems in real-time
Ability to make timely response to requests from management, field operations, and district personnel
Works well independently and as part of a team
Complies with all NexTier rules and policies
Ability to adapt behavior and work methods in response to changing conditions
Minimum Required Education
Highschool education or equivalent
Minimum Required Work Experience
2-4 years experience as a Frac Field Operator/Specialist, or
2-4 years’ experience as Frac Maintenance Technician
