Schedule: Full-time, Night Shift 7pm-7am

Shift: First two weeks of program schedule are from Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm. Remaining schedule varies based on position and preceptor availability. Schedule may include Day and/or Night Shifts.

The community you’ll be caring for: AdventHealth Palm Coast, Florida

The role you’ll contribute:

 

• The Transition to Acute Care Program is designed for RN Registered Nurses who have either never worked in an acute hospital setting or have been away from bedside for over 1 year.
• RN Registered Nurses entering the training program will be under the direct supervision of a preceptor for all principal duties and responsibilities during the training program with eventual transition to independent practice after successful training program completion.
• The program includes multiple simulation experiences, didactic training, clinical orientation training (up to 16 weeks) and unit specific education as applicable. Some travel may be required for orientation classes.
• This program is currently placing Registered Nurses into our Med/Surg unit at Palm Coast  AdventHealth.

Qualifications

The expertise and experiences you’ll need to succeed:

Minimum qualifications:

• Graduate of an accredited school of nursing with a minimum of an Associate of Science degree.
• Active Florida or Multi State RN license required.

Preferred qualifications:

• Bachelors (BSN) degree
• One-year hospital experience preferred. Internship and/or preceptorship required dependent upon RN experience. Unit specific competency must be met per orientation pathways.
