Audit Analytics, Experienced Data Analyst

 RELATIONSHIP & SCOPE:

The successful candidate will assist in the planning, managing, and delivering of automated analytic solutions. This role is necessary to support the delivery of the Data Strategy and audit plans within Chubb Internal Audit.  This position will require an individual with knowledge and experience using data analysis and visualization software, a sound understanding of risks and controls, excellent written and oral skills, attention to detail, and the desire to learn.

 DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Collaborate with IT, Business Owners, Data Owners, Business Intelligence and Analytic teams to promote, design, and build effective Qlik Sense solutions for Internal Audit’s Operations, IT, and Finance Units

  • Evaluate and document business needs, objectives, and data requirements

  • Analyze and organize raw data from different sources

  • Design and build efficient data models in Qlik Sense

  • Design and build dashboards in Qlik Sense in accordance with best practices and design standards

  • Ensure data sources and dashboards are routinely updated per data requirements, for non-automated applications

  • Explore ways to enhance data quality, reliability, and automation

  • Assist with providing vision, manage priorities, and handle ad-hoc requests

  • Document processes and analytic solutions

  • Promote and support the use of Qlik Sense, ACL, and other data analysis/visualization tools

  • Create and present solution demos

  • Assist with the creation, presentation, and sharing of training material for end users

  • Execute upon strategic vision to continually leverage the usage of data throughout the audit process

  • Stay well-informed of evolving data needs within Internal Audit to promote overall efficiency

  • Stay well-informed on current software to incorporate new functionality and provide improved insights and analysis

QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Bachelor’s degree in MIS, Accounting or Finance (or relevant IT/business degree)

  • 1 – 3 years of Data Analytic experience; property and casualty insurance experience a plus

  • Experience developing in/using Qlik Sense, QlikView, Power BI, SQL, preferred

  • Strong analytical skills

  • Must have strong problem-solving skills

  • Multi-tasking along with strong organizational and time management skills

  • Able to consistently deliver projects to deadlines and budgets

  • Computer literacy essential

  • Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written communication skills

  • Ability to effectively present and explain technical concepts to a non-technical audience

  • Audit knowledge a plus

  • Must be a team player

  • Willingness to travel up to 15%
