Job Description:

We are now looking for a Senior Security Engineer!

Are you used to taking a strong, hands-on approach for ensuring secure development and engineering practices across multiple internal teams? Are you leading by example? Can you help reduce risk, threats, and vulnerabilities in NVIDIA's products across machine learning, compute, and cloud services? NVIDIA is seeking a security engineer to design, validate, and implement security controls for its core products.

What you will be doing:


  • Work with product development teams to ensure robust, secure product posture from design over implementation to operation of NVIDIA products including AI applications and cloud services


  • Drive security processes within the product development teams


  • Design and development of tools and systems that broadly align with prevention, detection and response security functions


  • Perform security assessments, Threat and vulnerability analysis.


  • Integrate tools with the build pipeline to detect security vulnerabilities early in the software development lifecycle


  • Develop, deploy and operate systems to tackle challenges around application security, vulnerability patch automation, intrusion detection, continuous monitoring etc.


  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of our engineering and development lifecycle processes, mentor engineering staff and develop and deliver security training sessions for engineers


  • Triage, Review and prioritize security findings and provide hands-on security engineering expertise across a wide variety of technology platforms, assessing risk, crafting fixes, and implementing them in partnership with our dev and QA staff.


  • Assist in handling security incidents and work with our software security response team.



What we need to see:

  • You have a Bachelor's, Master of Computer Science (or equivalent experience) with 5+ years of proven experience in leading security posture for software and hardware products.


  • To be successful in this role, you have an excellent solid understanding in the following areas of expertise: Systems and application security; Familiarity with IaaS, PaaS, and SaaS methodologies; Software development (for instance in C, C++, Java, Golang, and Python); Web application infrastructure as well as UNIX-based operating systems, with a focus on security aspects of application and operating system platforms


  • Proven experience with performing security requirements analyses, building threat models, doing design reviews and documenting relevant mitigation techniques, applying applications security design patterns, implementing common security algorithms and protocols, and performing security testing and penetration testing.


  • Familiar with applicable technology, such as web service and web application authentication, authorization, and federation protocols, as well as virtualization platforms, emulation, and container-based software.


  • This role extends across multiple teams and requires excellent communication and interpersonal skills.



Ways to stand out from the crowd:

  • Solid understanding of cryptographic algorithms, authentication protocols, and transport layer security.


  • Experience with integrating security tools into build pipeline.


  • Experience with Cloud, Container, or Kubernetes security.


  • Understanding of GPU architectures, parallel computing, and associated programming techniques. Basic knowledge of machine learning, artificial intelligence.


  • Master of Science, Ph.D., or equivalent in Computer Science or a related technical field preferred.
