Summary of Role:



The Chief of Staff (COS) position will report directly to the Chief of Business and will partner closely with all members of GF's Business teams in managing the priorities of the Chief of Business and all associated business operations, meetings, critical engagements & communications (verbal & written), planning and programs. The COS role engages across all functional organizations with and outside of Business teams and may on require interface with external stakeholders. The COS will influence, enable, and lead through collaboration and relationship building with exceptional detail orientation and organizational / planning skills required. This role also requires a high level of creativity and innovation, outcome driven thinking and always leading with sense of urgency in very dynamic and fast paced environment.



Essential Responsibilities Include:



  • Chief of Business Schedule Management: Evaluate. integrate, prioritize, schedule, and manage all Chief of Business activities for both tactical and strategic horizons.

  • Proactively partner with functional teams (Product Management, End Market, Design Platforms, Business Strategy & Planning) to understand and plan for maximum effectiveness of the Chief of Business and his staff.

  • Ensure high quality preparation for internal and external engagements including but not limited to: internal business reviews, customer meetings, GF Board and committee meetings, employee and executive sessions, and also GF marketing, external media, investor relations, industry consortia, and government relations meetings/events.

  • Anticipate and adapt engagements based on rapidly changing needs.

  • Engagement of Business functional teams.

  • Plan and collaborate across multiple stakeholders / groups to help drive critical decision making and team alignment.

  • Envision what is needed by the Chief of Business and the team to react both strategically and tactically to what is requested.

  • Proactively advise the Chief of Business functional team leads on business, business process, team related, or technical topics.

  • Own and drive effective productive forums for the Chief of Business functional teams by identifying topics, and defining, developing, and delivering content most relevant to the senior execs at every point in time.

  • Manage weekly staff meeting between Chief of Business and his functional teams , ensuring materials are sent in advance, time is well spent, and objectives are achieved.

  • Lead special projects.

  • Plan and lead special projects and events as needed.

  • At the moment, role will entail heavy involvement in the transformation of the Business teams as they are newly created.

  • Financial: Manage the budgeting, forecasting and actual expenses




Other Responsibilities:



  • Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs




Required Qualifications:



  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, business, or related technical field.

  • 5+ years of engineering, operations, or business experience.

  • Demonstrated exceptional organizational, planning and scheduling skills.

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal.

  • Demonstrated ability to facilitate and lead meetings and large group settings.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead by influencing of others to successful outcomes.

  • Demonstrated significant project and program management experience.

  • Demonstrated ability to plan and lead complicated initiatives while prioritizing critical issues.

  • Able to work daily within the US east coast time zone and with flexibility to work across other time zones ensuring accessibility to Chief of Business schedule.

  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally may be necessary
