Cigna CRM seeks a Senior Application Developer with expertise in Cloud to join our development team. Helping our customers achieve healthier, more secure lives is at the heart of what we do. The position requires hands-on development of event driven scalable applications. Our team is extremely collaborative. Responsibilities:


  • Learn Overall System Architecture and supports long-range strategic direction of systems


  • Supports and provides input into architecture, design and development for multiple critical applications


  • Implement software engineering solutions for diverse and complex business requirements including packaged application customization and multi-systems integration


  • Analyze customer business requirements which requires end to end business knowledge on Healthcare, Technology skills and well versed in agile methodologies


  • Design and recommend appropriate solutions to implement and/or upgrade applications. Interact with business and development team on a regular basis to resolve issues or provide clarifications on architecture and/or design documents


  • Responsible for all facets of the development, maintenance, and support of applications with strong emphasis on the analysis of the business requirements and written communication of technical design


  • Support production implementation activities. Perform advanced troubleshooting and debugging of application programs using Full-stack software developer tools in support of business and customers


Required Qualifications & Experience:


  • 3+ years' experience being past of Agile teams and working in Agile methodology working Scrum or Kanban


  • 7+ years of experience in IT delivery


  • 3+ years of Cloud experience (AWS preferred)


  • 5+ years of working in an object-oriented language: Python, Java, Spark (at least one of them)


  • 3+ years of database -Dynamo DB, MS SQL Server or Teradata (at least one of them)


  • Development experience of RESTful/API services, microservices


Desired Qualifications & Experience:


  • Bachelor's degree in Software Engineering, Computer Science or related field, or equivalent work experience.


  • Experience developing in an CI/CD environment (Jenkins/Ansible experience a plus)


  • Experience in Scripting (AngularJS, JavaScript) is a plus


  • Experience in Databricks is a plus


  • Experience in Teradata Vantage is a plus


  • Experience with the utilization of GIT version control software


  • Excellent troubleshooting & strong communication skills


  • Knowledge and/or experience with Health care information domains is a plus


If you will be working at home occasionally or permanently, the internet connection must be obtained through a cable broadband or fiber optic internet service provider with speeds of at least 10Mbps download/5Mbps upload.

For this position, we anticipate offering an annual salary of 105,600 - 176,000 USD / yearly, depending on relevant factors, including experience and geographic location.

This role is also anticipated to be eligible to participate in an annual bonus plan.
