GENERAL DESCRIPTION
We are looking for a Project Manager to develop workscopes and proposals for Equipment being repaired. Position will report to the Cooking or Fiber Rebuild Product Manager.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS
Developing complete workscope for rebuild/refurbishment of equipment
Creating equipment Routings and Bills of Material to shop floor
Create budgetary estimates and formal proposals
Finalize customer proposals based on workscope development
Coordinate between engineering, purchasing, and manufacturing for an on-time and as budgeted delivery
Routinely monitor project costs and schedules.
Account for project cost overruns and provide an explanation with updated forecast plan.
Respond to technical and/or production related issues and determine a plan to eliminate and/or mitigate impact to project.
Routinely maintain and update product-line SAP template BOM's and routings to continuously improve production flow.
Research history of customer equipment
Assist Product Manager and Proposal Manager in estimating Project Costs
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
Strong people and exceptional organizational and communication skills (both written and verbal) are required.
Excellent Typing Skills
Proficient use of Microsoft Excel and Word
Accurately read fabrication and machining drawings
Existing SAP User preferred
Experience in Reading/interpreting Engineering Drawings
Familiarity with Rotating Equipment
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL QUALIFICATIONS
Requires ability to work in a manufacturing environment, which may include exposure to varying temperatures and noise levels, dust, dirt, fumes, welding machines, heavy duty magnets and manual/remote controlled devices using radio signals. Physical conditions for positions: Sit, stand, walk, bend, reach, push, pull, kneel, stoop, crouch, climb, grasp, ascend/descend stairs and ladders, maneuver within tight spaces, routinely lift up to 50 lbs. Must have visual acuity, excellent mobility, good hearing, manual dexterity, good balance, ability to endure long hours, excellent problem solving skills, and wear required personal protective equipment. All tasks performed with or without reasonable accommodations.
