Job DescriptionAbout this roleYou will lead and oversee analytical programming activities pertaining to data (biomarker, real world, clinical, genomic, etc) required for a clinical study report. You will pioneer the development and maintenance of analytical Clinical Selection tools involving RShiny and/or other Statistical Methods in support of enrollment into Clinical Trials of Neurological Diseases. You will be responsible for serving as a liaison with the Data, internal and external data partners, monitoring and meeting agreed upon project(s) milestones, estimating resources needs and collaborating with clinicians and biostatisticians as needed. Join a dynamic team where you shall be responsible to produce statistical specifications including but not limited to analysis datasets, tables, listings, figures, simulations, statistical modeling, integration of biomarker analyses with interpretation, and contribution to abstracts and papers. Come be a partner with Biostatistics and other functions within and without Analytical Data Sciences (ADS) to deliver high quality deliverables through innovative analytics and tools to push the boundaries of patient care. REMOTE OPPORTUNITY What you'll doYou will lead, coordinate and manage timely creation, oversight, review, completion, and delivery of data sciences activities and deliverables of study projects via internal and/or external staff oversightYou will lead Development of Statistical tools and functions which include RShiny applications for real time data access, standard R packages for automation of tasks and exploration of other open-source language methodsYou will collaborate with statistics and clinicians on defining/documenting programming endpoint algorithms across projects including development of machine learning techniquesYou will manage the end-to-end programming of deliverables from data curation through final submission of deliverable which may include preparation for abstracts and manualsYou will serve as the Data Science Lead to achieve milestones for program while evaluating task objectives, collaborating with internal/external partners and/or manager on issues or resource needsYou will engage partners in Data Science both internally and externally (such as internal across company working groups or Pharma collaborations like R In Pharma etc) to promote/develop advanced statistical analytical platforms and toolsWho you areYou will have diverse analytical problem-solving skills and be comfortable representing the analytical programming perspective to the Project Team, often as the sole functional representative. You will have passion for creating innovative methods and tools to promote efficiency and automation.QualificationsRequired Skills: MS with 6+ or PhD with 4+ years relevant work experience within an organization with a focus on statistical analysis and interpretation of data6+ years programming in various languages (R, SAS, SPSS, etc.)6+ years relevant industry experience in Pharma/CRO2 - 4+ years clinical trial/database experienceExtensive knowledge of statistical methods/mathematical modelingFamiliarity with UNIXKnowledge of software development packages (R, Imaging and Genomics software packages)Experience in R Shiny Development and other Analytical GUI applicationsStrong project management and problem-solving skills, and ability to effectively lead and collaborate with all functionsHigh attention to detail including proven ability to manage multiple, competing prioritiesAbility to understand and decipher scientific paper results for the application to current analysisAdditional InformationWhy Biogen?
