We are looking for talented, hard-working and out-of-the-box thinkers who are interested in learning more about what it is like to be a Software Engineer in the Fintech industry. The FactSet Mesh program provides first or second year college students that have an interest in computer science with a hands on experience working with Software Engineering teams while participating in professional development and networking opportunities.The paid externship is set to run from May 15, 2023 - May 26, 2023 in our Norwalk, CT office. The application deadline is January 31, 2023.During this 2-week externship, you will:Attend trainings on a variety of technologiesParticipate in professional development workshops focused on effective communication, presentation skills, resume writing, networking and mock interviewingBuild your networking skills by connecting with FactSetters across various teamsEnhance you collaboration skills by competing in a coding challenge with fellow externs and FactSet EngineersNetwork with diverse FactSet professionals and members of our Black, Latinx, Pride, and Women's Employee Resource GroupsMeet members of FactSet's Executive Team to learn about their different leadership journeysLearn about FactSet's industry, core products, who our clients are, and various teams within our Engineering organizationUpon successful completion of the program, externs graduating in May of 2025 will be eligible to receive an offer for our 12-week Software Engineering Internship program held in the summer of 2024. Externs graduating in May of 2026 will be eligible to participate in the Mesh program again in the summer of 2024.Minimum Qualifications:Currently pursuing a BS in Computer Science (or equivalent)Undergraduates graduating between May 2025 - May 2026 who identify as Black, Hispanic/Latinx, and/or Native AmericanExperience and/or interested in learning Full Stack Web Development, C++, C# or other OOP languageExcited about problem solvingAbility to work independently while also being a great team-playerPositive, can-do attitudeAt FactSet, we celebrate diversity of thought, experience, and perspective.
